Small studies.
A consistent signal.
Grounding has been studied for sleep, stress hormones, body voltage, recovery and circulation. The research is early and most studies are small, so we show you every paper we rely on: what it measured, how it was designed, and what it doesn't prove.

What the studies found. In plain English.
Six studies we cite across this site, with their size and design. Small samples and pilot designs make these signals worth testing, not settled science.
Promising, not settled. Several of these researchers have worked with grounding companies, so we link every paper — and give you 90 nights to judge for yourself.

Sleep & cortisol
Sleeping grounded for 8 weeks lowered night-time cortisol and moved its 24-hour rhythm toward normal. Nearly all participants reported better sleep and less pain and stress.

We list human research on sleep, recovery, mood, body voltage and circulation, plus the main review papers. We've left out animal studies and studies of specific medical conditions. Several authors have worked with grounding companies. GroundingFlow is a wellness product; it isn't intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
The fine print, in plain English.

Contact usIs grounding proven?
Not in the way a medicine is proven. Most grounding studies are small pilots, and some have no control group, so we treat them as promising signals rather than settled science. That's why we link every paper and give you 90 nights to test it on yourself.
Who did these studies?
Researchers in several countries, published in journals including the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, Frontiers in Physiology and the Journal of Inflammation Research. Several authors have worked with grounding companies. We point that out so you can weigh the evidence for yourself.
What does “58× lower body voltage” mean?
In Brown (2016), researchers measured the AC voltage that nearby household electric fields induce on the body, first ungrounded and then grounded, in 50 people. Grounding lowered it by an average factor of about 58. It's a measurement of electrical charge on the body, not a measure of health on its own.
Why don't you say the mat treats pain or disease?
Because the evidence doesn't support claims like that, and a wellness product shouldn't make them. The research looks at sleep, stress hormones, body voltage, recovery and mood. Customers most often tell us about deeper sleep and easier mornings. Individual results vary.
How can I judge it for myself?
